Here I’m sharing the recipe of MURG DO PYAZA 🙂
Sorry for late posting, was too busy.
Anyways….. Here you are
Half kg chicken (marinate in hung curd, salt n turmeric)
3 Onions finely chopped
2 large tomatoes pureed
3 green chillies
Garlic ginger finely chopped
Salt to taste
Red chilli powder (optional)
One onion to be cut into cubes to add lastly.
Heat two spoons oil add onions, garlic, ginger, green chillies.
Cook till they change colour. Cool it n grind it to make paste.
Now heat oil in a pan, add cumin n the onion paste we made. Later add tomato puree n add all dry spices mentioned. In this recipe red chilli powder is not used , only green chillies r added to make it spicy. If u want you can add red chilli powder as per your choice. When the oil separates, add chicken to it. Mix well n keep stirring. Slowly add water to your desired consistency. Cover the lid n allow it to cook.
Mean while saute the cubed onions in other pan. I didn’t sauteed as I didn’t wanted any extra oil. When the chicken is 80% cooked , add cubed onions. This the specialty of this recipe, onion is used twice. Once by making paste n secondly by adding cubed onions. That’s why the name of recipe is DO PYAZA. One feels the crunch of onions while chewing it. Check if the chicken is cooked properly, turn off the stove. Serve hot with your choice of bread and laccha pyaaz. Hope you all like it.
